Well its been a little while……
The hardest part of being a small independent family business in South Wales, or anywhere in fact, is finding the time to sit down and actually write about what your business has been up to. It’s easy to put it all up on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and so on, but finding the time to do it on your website, now thats more challenging.
The fact I haven’t been adding to my blog recently, can only tell me one thing, I’ve been busy! Well, I’ve been busy but also had lots of time with my family and getting lots of quality time with them, and this was one of my reasons for starting this adventure in the first place.
My 9 pictures above only tell a small part of what I have been up to since August.
I’ve catered for 3 weddings, numerous afternoon teas, buffets and canapé events for corporate clients, afternoon tea boxes, plenty of dinner parties and most important of all, got my reputation well and truly out there.
I’ve celebrated 1 year in business, I’ve seen growth of the business, with enquiries coming in on a daily basis. Facebook bookings have been staggering, and I have enquires on there daily. This tells me all the effort I am putting into my business page is paying off. Over 1300 likes is nothing short of amazing at this stage. I can’t thank all my friends, family, clients and followers enough for all they have done for me.
Some quick mentions of events we have done, and also family events, cause these are just as important!!!
Weddings of Sarah & Joel, Chloe & Richard, Sarah & Craig
Corporate clients Eurocaps, SA Global, First Choice Housing Association, Rhondda Housing Association & Torfaen Leisure Trust to name but a few.
My never ending list of private clients, Emma Watts & her #emmawattsfordinner food group, Joanne Stephens & the Quarry’s, I’m their official birthday caterer!!!
Dinner parties for Joelle Ellery & her wonderful family, Michelle Davies and the 15 besties Christmas dinner party and Lucy Perkins & friends at Felin Newydd Countrypad house.
The surprise 50th birthday party for my great family friend, Russ Daleman.
The amazing event that I’ve recently done for the People’s Postcode Lottery. 600 winners, over 3000 canapés, a team of 10, biggest event so far, but I’m confident we will be doing bigger soon enough!!
Most importantly, the amazing things I’ve done with my family.
My eldest daughter getting involved with my Coventry City, Sky Blue Army love affair. Travelling many, many miles with me to watch them play. Spending more time seeing Charley & Ella grow up, this has been magical and we’ve been making so many memories.
Spending Christmas in Spain with 16 family members and friends, an absolute blast!!!
Celebrating our 12th wedding anniversary weekend, by doing the 3000 canapés event!!! Lucy, my wife, never one to shy away from working for me and helping me build the business, THANK YOU
I look forward to showing you more and more of just what FOUR SEASONS CATERING are all about.
Thank you for your amazing support throughout the past year.

Well, where to start!!

In my last, blog, I was raving about our 500+ likes on Facebook, WOW, we are heading towards the 1000 likes now!! It has been an eventful few months here at Four Seasons Catering.
Firstly, we were pleased to have had our Environmental Health Visit in March. We were delighted to have been awarded the maximum 5 stars!
Bookings have been coming in thick and fast. Two weddings for summer 2019, and 3 weddings booked already for next year.
We were delighted to have been asked to cater for some VIP Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) media events. One coming soon in Brecon, for the Hay Festival 2019 & the other in July, in Sussex, for the Goodwood Festival of Speed. We are hoping to forge a strong working relationship with JLR over future events. Keep an eye out on our social media platforms over the coming weeks for pics!
It was also an honour to have catered for the funeral of young Carson Price recently. Such a tragic time for all involved, and we hope we served the family well, in what we provided.
Some lucky local customers, in the Rhymney Valley, South wales, have also been treated to some of our buffets recently. Birthday buffets are one of our specialities!!!
Please visit our gallery for some insight in to our recent catered events.
Wishing you all a wonderful summer!
Where do I start??!!
Well, way back in January 2019, I decided to take one giant step, something I had been thinking of doing for some time!
I decided to open my own catering business.
I’ve been lucky enough to have worked in some exciting and prestigious establishments in my 20 years as a chef. I wanted to see if there was the market around here for what I do.
I won’t lie, it has been hard. But I know it will take time to get my reputation out there.
I am nominated caterer for two funeral homes in South Wales. One in the Rhymney Valley & one in Risca. I have an exciting wedding booked in for September in Caerphilly, for a lovely couple, Sarah & Joel. I have an exciting weekend with an afternoon tea coming up, pictures to follow!!
I have been in contact with two wonderful ladies in Cardiff, who are food bloggers, more to come on this in due course.
I went on a really exciting business course last week. Popup Business School has given me lots of inspiration and ideas to work on. One of them being this website and blog!!
It is all about building the business. And I feel I’m heading in the right direction!
